Colonel Howard MacCord Chapter

The Colonel Howard MacCord Chapter is active and engaged. Our members turn out in force for the Annual Field School, lab work, and many field projects that take place during the year.

We have great programs at our monthly meetings, including presentations on
various projects, lab work, hands-on experimental archeology, and more. We’ve even produced and played the “Virginia Archeology Version of Jeopardy!”

In addition to our field and lab work, we strive to provide public service in the name of ASV. Our Chapter members are very active at Kittiewan, and we partner with the Department of Historic Resources every year to represent archeology at the Fort A.P. Hill Earth Day event.
Come out and join us!
